Care Experience at GVO Safe Spaces

Creating Homes, Aspirations, and New Choices for Everyone

We are care experienced young adults turning our lived experience into power, purpose, and change.

Through CHANCE - Creating Homes, Aspirations, and New Choices for Everyone, along with initiatives like GVO Safe Spaces, we are building a future where every care experienced person has safety, opportunity, and the freedom to thrive.

Our voices come from real experience. Our strength comes from surviving systems that weren’t built for us despite best efforts. Our mission is to transform those systems so the next generation doesn’t face the same barriers we did, ensuring they receive the care experienced support they deserve.

We are the walk as much as the talk. We stand with organisations and projects that take action, not just make promises or tick boxes. Together, we challenge inequality, open doors that were once closed, and create spaces where care experienced people are valued, supported, and heard—before crisis takes hold.

To create homes that feel like belonging.

To raise aspirations that were once limited.

To build new choices where none existed.

To give every care experienced person a real CHANCE.

“Many care leavers have to deal with the sinking feeling of when ‘care leaves us’. We believe in a future shaped with us, not for us — and we’re here to make that happen, fostering youth empowerment along the way.”
